About us

My speciality is made-to-measure, double glazed, traditional, sliding sash and flush casement windows. The sliding sash window is a part of English Heritage that I am passionate about.

Unfortunately, many buildings have been spoilt in the 20th and 21st centuries by unsightly plastic windows. The sash window is a core part of the architecture of some of Englans most famous and elegant buildings: Downing Street and Buckingham Palace, to name just two.

Sash windows can be found on modest terrace houses, elegant town houses, charming country cottages, grand stately homes, to name but a few! - When I set about designing my windows I put a great deal of consideration into producing traditional-looking windows right down to the finest details that i can double glaze so that they comply with current building regulations. I also wanted to offer the lowest U value that can be achieved. Now, after evolving the design over time, I am completely satisfied that I have achieved all of the above.

I have many happy customers and I have been fortunate enough to transform the appearance of some beautiful buildings throughout Somerset. Occasionally I have been commissioned to replace unsightly plastic windows with timber sash or casement windows therefore bringing the buildings back to the way that they looked when they were built.

I offer a wide range of kiln-dried timber species to suit all budgets and requirements. I only use good quality traditional-looking ironmongery, good quality discreet weather seals, hardware and paints. Sample windows can be brought to your home or business anywhere in Somerset and the surrounding areas.

I have experience in replicating listed windows, doors, porches, mouldings etc.
Elegant front doors are also a forte.
I can also manufacture to your specifications: hand-made kitchens, bookcases, wardrobes, radiator covers, cabinets etc etc (you can see examples of some of my work in my online portfolio by clicking here)

All I ask from my customers is patience. Producing woodwork of this calibre is very labour intensive. I am usually booking work three or four months in advance... 'Good things come to those that wait!' ...So if you appreciate the finer things in life and attention to detail please get in touch.
